Dogfight has been recognized in other places in Mindanao pero it seems wala man lang nakabantay diri sa Butuan, except for a few. They have been in the local circuit for almost a decade now. Maybe we can show naman some support. The local music in Butuan way back in the early 2000 was very booming, I dont know what happened. Local artists now are quite complacent and are contented with doing cover songs not making original ones. Or its possible that some artists are finding it hard to showcase their originals because they cant find a good venue.

Dogfight has been in the forefront in spreading Butuan's local scene. That is maybe the reason why they are nominated in the prestigious Muzika del Sur Music Awards. They made it to the National Finals of the Red Horse Muziklaban but lost to a Manila-grown band. As they say, Mindanaoan artists are discriminated in Manila music scene.  Mao na nga at least suportahan nato deserving local talents nato.

You got it right. Hope you can visit Davao next week and watch them play here. I think daghan man pud taga Butuan naa nag work diri. I know some batchmates nag work sa Call Centers here.
